At Pacific Party Canopies, we are a team of professionals dedicated to our mission: providing superior service in a work environment that promotes personal growth for each member of our team.
- Greg Greenfield, Owner and President
- Greg started PPC in August 1987 with two 20'x40' traditional-style tents. For several years, he built the business while holding a full-time job at the family equipment rental store. More than 25 years later, Greg enjoys working with his multi-talented and hard-working employees, who number 30+ in the peak season. He is excited by innovations in party rental equipment, like the company's Engineered Structure Tents. Greg is an active member of the Burlington Kiwanis and participates in many of their community events. Since he was a teen, he has enjoyed building car after car, then tractors of all colors. His latest joy is being a grandpa to three boys when he is not traveling or building. Hard telling what is next!
Office
- Laura Stewart, Manager and Event Expert
- Laura joined the PPC team in 1995 as their first permanent, kinda-full-time employee. She works closely with owner Greg Greenfield to manage the business side of things. Laura is also part of the customer service team and loves working on local events year after year as well as sharing her experience with young brides and their families. A recent empty-nester, Laura is enjoying her new-found freedom gardening, cooking, hanging out with friends and cruising around the country in her little convertible. Of her time with PPC, Laura says, "I love my job as much today as I did the day I started; I can't imagine ever working anywhere else."
- Stacie Stogner, Event Expert
Certified Event Rental Professional - Stacie joined the company in 2005, soon after leaving her hometown of Bixby, Oklahoma. She moved to this area when her husband was hired by the Mount Vernon Fire Department. She does sales work and light bookkeeping at PPC and is first in line to answer the phones. Stacie loves watching football (Go Cowboys!), shopping and spending time with friends and family. She advises customers to plan ahead, especially for those summer weddings. She's here to answer your call!
- Jill Shipman, Event Expert
- Jill started working for PPC January 2017, after taking a few years off from working. She is a transplant to the great PNW from Northern California. Yup she is a Niner and Giants fan. Jill has experience working for the best event production companies in Wine Country. She loves being involved in all aspects of events. From tenting to fabric, she enjoys all the creativity and challenges that comes with events. Jill is in love with the PNW weather and people. When she isn't out saying hi, she loves to be with her daughter and dog, planting in her garden or whipping up creations in her kitchen with local produce! If she had one piece of advice for an event it would be "No question is wrong; just ask!"
Field Crew
- Matt Richter, Operations Manager
- Matt started as a crew member at PPC in 2000. From there, he worked his way up to crew lead and now manager. He's in charge of scheduling and planning jobs and leads field crews in installations and takedowns. He is married to his beautiful wife, Anna. He enjoys softball and traveling to warm places. His advice for customers: "Your yard can seem bigger than it actually is. It's a good idea to have us come and do a site survey." Matt is the best sledge hammer swinger at PPC.
- Jimmy Mai, Crew Lead and load list guy
- Jimmy joined the team in 2004. He loads and unloads the trucks, makes load lists for daily jobs and sets up tents. Jimmy plays poker, softball, basketball, croquet and fantasy football. He suggests that if you're going to mow your lawn, you do it two or three days before the canopy is installed. That way there won't be little blades of grass on the underside of your clean white tent.
- Jamie Schleis, Crew Lead and tent expert
- Jamie installs and maintains tents and the rest of the rental equipment. He has more than 23 years of experience in tent rentals. His favorite activities are watching movies, gardening, home improvement, electrical work, sewing and computers. Jamie likes the feeling of accomplishment he gets when he overcomes a difficult situation and finds a solution to make it work. As his father, Jim Schleis, used to say, "The difficult we can do. The impossible just takes longer."
- Rich Eppley, Crew Lead and special projects manager
- Rich is our "jack of all trades," an able tent installer as well as our go-to guy for building, equipment, vehicle, and computer maintenance. Rich grew up in Enola, Pennsylvania, but has since settled here in the Northwest with his son. Rich enjoys TV, movies, bowling, building PCs and cars. A highlight of Rich's time at PPC was setting up a job at Boeing in Seattle for the Chinese prime minister's visit.
