About Us
Our Story
Pacific Party Canopies was started 1987 in Anacortes, Washington. Greg Greenfield worked in the equipment rental business his parents started. Along came Jim Baker after his Navy service. Together Greg and Jim became partners in this new “Rent-A Tent” business. Jim recalls “We had our stuff stored in unheated garage with one calendar on the wall, a desk in the corner and an answering machine.” Steady growth, dedicated long-term employees, and quality service has brought us to what you see today. Pacific Party Canopies endured through the 2020 pandemic. Greg Greenfield retired selling Pacific Party Canopies in July 2022 to Michael McDaniel. Jim Baker retired selling his company Stellar Events to Pacific Party Canopies in 2024. Michael grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and learned about business delivering newspapers and mowing lawns. Warren Buffett said his childhood delivering newspapers, it “gave you lots of time to think about business”. Michael developed a passion for business. It started with borrowed $8,000 initial investment through pure determination and a lot of luck. In 2012 Michael purchased Consumer Rental which began in 1973 and is now known as Ideal-Rent-All. If all goes according to plan at Pacific Party Canopies, we’re preparing to celebrate over 38 glorious years as a successful, respected event rental product and services provider. We’ll continue to earn our customer’s business – and their appreciation – each and every day. That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it!

Meet The Team
At Pacific Party Canopies, we are a team of professionals dedicated to our mission: providing superior service in a work environment that promotes personal growth for each member of our team
Office

Stacie Stogner - Accounts Manager
Certified Event Rental Professional
Stacie joined the company in 2005, soon after leaving her hometown of Bixby, Oklahoma. She moved to this area when her husband was hired by the Mount Vernon Fire Department. She does sales work and light bookkeeping at PPC and is first in line to answer the phones. Stacie loves watching football (Go Cowboys!), shopping and spending time with friends and family. She advises customers to plan ahead, especially for those summer weddings. She’s here to answer your call!
Field Crew

Jimmy Mai - Crew Lead and load list guy
Jimmy joined the team in 2004. He loads and unloads the trucks, makes load lists for daily jobs and sets up tents. Jimmy plays poker, softball, basketball, croquet and fantasy football. He suggests that if you’re going to mow your lawn, you do it two or three days before the canopy is installed. That way there won’t be little blades of grass on the underside of your clean white tent.

Jamie Schleis - Crew Lead and tent expert
Jamie installs and maintains tents and the rest of the rental equipment. He has more than 23 years of experience in tent rentals. His favorite activities are watching movies, gardening, home improvement, electrical work, sewing and computers. Jamie likes the feeling of accomplishment he gets when he overcomes a difficult situation and finds a solution to make it work. As his father, Jim Schleis, used to say, "The difficult we can do. The impossible just takes longer."

Rich Eppley - Crew Lead and special projects manager
Rich is our "jack of all trades," an able tent installer as well as our go-to guy for building, equipment, vehicle, and computer maintenance. Rich grew up in Enola, Pennsylvania, but has since settled here in the Northwest with his son. Rich enjoys TV, movies, bowling, building PCs and cars. A highlight of Rich’s time at PPC was setting up a job at Boeing in Seattle for the Chinese prime minister’s visit.
